Anti-tobacco Advertisements

There are plenty of anti-tobacco advertisements on YouTube, some very good and some so bad that we wonder if they may cause more harm than good! The team at Health Promotion have picked out a few of their personal favourites to showcase here at the healthpromotion.com.au website.

Tobacco Recall
An old favourite with roots here on The Central Coast. The tobacco recall advertisement concept was originally developed through a NSW Department of Health Aboriginal Health Grant.  Central Coast Aboriginal youth wanted to create a message that would make people consider the social conscience of the tobacco industry. The concept was based on the American Legacy Foundation's 'Truth' campaign. The advertisement was produced in partnership with QUIT Victoria. It was first aired in July 2002 in all Australian states except NSW and the A.C.T. It was played in NSW cinemas on World No Tobacco Day 2004.
