Crunch&Sip

Crunch&Sip® is a set break to eat fruit or salad vegetables and drink water in the classroom. Students 're-fuel' with fruit or vegetables during the morning or afternoon – assisting physical and mental performance and concentration in the classroom.

Developed by CSIRO to provide parents with a 10 step plan for a healthy family. Includes information on healthy foods and habits.

 

 

Healthy Kids

The exciting Healthy Kids website is a portal to websites, projects and other resources targeting good eating habits and daily physical activity in young people. A joint initiative of the Heart Foundation, NSW Department of Sport and Recreation, NSW Department of Education, and the NSW Department of Health. Appropriate for parents, carers and teachers.

 

 

Get Moving! 

The federal government's fantastic site promoting physical activity for children and young people. Includes those great TV ads with the lounge chair being active as well as loads of reliable and practical information. Primarily suitable for children, young people, parents and carers. Teachers may also find the site useful.

 

 

Go for 2&5 

Also part of the federal government's Building a Healthy Active Australia initiative the Go for 2 & 5 campaign is primarily designed to promote healthy nutrition. The primary target audience is parents and carers of children and young people although children, young people and teachers may also find the site useful

The Parents Jury

The Parents Jury is an online network of Australian parents who wish to voice their views and to collectively advocate for the improvement of children's food and physical activity environments. is supported by Cancer Council Australia, Diabetes Australia Vic, QLD & WA, the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) and VicHealth.
